Clinician (Call Centre) - Mental health Professional - Federal Government Department Melbourne VIC

• $65 - $73 an hour + Super

ACM Healthcare is working on behalf of a Federal Government Department to source 6 X experienced Mental Health Professionals for phone based Clinician roles, providing immediate clinical mental health support to veterans. This is initially a 12 month contract at an APS6 level.
Your work will be phone based and will include a combination of intake, assessment and triage nationally, the provision of immediate clinical mental health support and, referral to state-based specialist and crisis case management services. Clinicians work in a rostered 7am - 7pm environment across Monday - Friday providing over the phone clinical services for Australian veterans and their families.

Duties:

• Undertake various shifts between 7am to 7pm Monday to Friday, with duties including risk assessment, intake, intervention, referral, and single session evidence-based individual, couple, and family counselling.
• Maintain accurate and confidential client records, including the mandated use of specific clinical forms/templates (e.g., Intake Document, Risk Assessment and Management Plan documentation)
• Participate in clinical supervision, professional development, and regular client case review meetings.
• Work collaboratively with families, treatment providers, and internal stakeholders to ensure coordinated care.

Mandatory Requirements:

• Qualifications as a registered Psychologist / Mental Health Occupational Therapist / Mental Health Registered Nurse with full AHPRA registration, OR
• Qualification as a Social Worker with membership of the Australian Association Social Workers (AASW) on commencement OR
• A Masters-level counselling qualification and registration with PACFA as a Registered Clinical Counsellor or with ACA at Level 3 or Level 4
• The successful candidate will be required to obtain and maintain a minimum Baseline Vetting (AGSVA) security clearance / Working with Children (WWC) and/or Vulnerable People Checks/Clearance must be obtained prior to commencement.
• As this role is within a Federal Government department it is a required to be an Australian Citizen at time of commencement
