About the role
Reporting to the Airfreight Manager, you’ll play an integral role in supporting the airfreight division - managing import operations, providing excellent customer service, and ensuring efficient communication with clients and airlines. This is a hands-on position with strong growth potential for the right candidate to step up into a Team Leader role as the division continues to expand.

Duties

• Manage end-to-end airfreight import operations (export exposure advantageous)
• Coordinate bookings, prepare documentation, and process shipments efficiently
• Provide accurate and timely communication to clients and internal stakeholders
• Liaise directly with airlines and overseas agents to ensure smooth cargo flow
• Handle rate quotations, invoicing, and shipment tracking
• Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and industry regulations
• Support the broader operations team and assist during peak or leave periods

Skills & experience

• Minimum 2 years’ experience in airfreight operations within a freight forwarding environment
• CargoWise experience preferred
• Sound understanding of import procedures and documentation requirements
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills
• Customer-focused mindset with the ability to work independently
• Proactive approach with a willingness to learn and grow
