The Opportunity
The Director, Project Delivery will play a critical leadership role in shaping the future of the university's infrastructure. Reporting to the Executive Director of Infrastructure and Major Projects, the Director will oversee the delivery of Major Projects across all of VU’s campuses. This work will include key inputs into the Property Development process and align with the University’s broader Pedagogical Strategy and organisational objectives.
This role is responsible for delivering projects within a variety of delivery models within VU’s Strategic Educational Infrastructure Framework that integrates innovative approaches to optimising the university’s property assets, enhancing both the educational and operational environments.
About You
You are an innovative and driven leader, with extensive experience in Infrastructure Project Management, Project Delivery, and have an understanding of strategic property development ideally within the education sector or similar large-scale organisations.
You will also possess:
- Demonstrated experience and comprehensive knowledge of the regulatory requirements within the property industry, including best practices in portfolio management.
- Some exposure to property development management, with a solid understanding of relevant operating standards and a thorough familiarity with occupational health and safety (OHS) legislation and compliance requirements.
- Proven experience in formulating policies and procedures, as well as establishing monitoring, reporting systems, and budget management processes.
- Proven leadership in the delivery of strategy, development, and infrastructure services, focusing on quality, efficiency, and continuous improvement.
Conditions & Benefits
This full-time position will be offered on a 5 year fixed term contract basis. An attractive remuneration package is on offer, including an employer superannuation contribution of up to 17%.
