Your New Role
Reporting to the Principal, Member Risk, the Senior Manager Member Risk works cohesively across the Member domain to ensure we are taking the right amount of risk to deliver on our strategy.
This role requires influence and collaboration, as the successful candidate will work in partnership with functions across the Member Group and other groups within the Fund including Fund Services, Information Technology and Group Risk to achieve the desired outcomes. You will have the ability to work both autonomously, manage a team of managers and be an active senior leader within the Member Governance and Accountability Team.
This is a 6-month contract.
Some of your duties will include, but not limited to:
Lead the Risk Team to ensure 1st line risk is managed in accordance with the Fund’s Risk Management Framework including:
Business risk identification and management, risk profiling, risk reporting and incident management;
Controls management including identification, design, implementation and testing;
support and oversight in relation to the management of material risks across the Member Domain Provide input and insights into Enterprise Risks as required.
Lead and deliver on practical advice and guidance for risk management to contribute to lifting risk maturity across the Domain. Creating a culture of risk awareness.
Oversee the development and delivery of a controls testing plan for the Member Domain
What You’ll Need
7+ years’ experience in risk management, ideally working in Financial Services
Strong knowledge and experience with operational risk and compliance frameworks
Critical thinker with strong analytical skills with an ability to analyse data across various sources to draw insights
Strong problem-solving skills including being able to get to the root cause of risks/incidents
Strong organisational and planning skills with the ability to oversee a broad range of concurrent tasks and priorities.
Poise and ability to act calmly and competently in high-pressure and fast paced situations
High level of personal integrity as well as the ability to professionally handle confidential matters
