This well-established independent workshop, is searching for a capable and organised Workshop Manager to oversee the smooth day-to-day operation of their busy site. Servicing a wide range of vehicles — from passenger cars to trucks, boats, caravans, and heavy machinery — this business is known for its quality work, loyal customer base, and strong team culture.
This role is ideal for someone with an automotive background who enjoys variety and structure. You’ll be the go-to person for both the team and customers — managing apprentices, booking in jobs, ordering parts, assisting technicians where needed, and ensuring a seamless service experience for every client who walks through the door.
You don’t need to be trade-qualified, but knowledge of automotive systems is essential. You’ll thrive in this role if you’re a strong communicator, good with people, and know how to juggle priorities. Prior workshop coordination, service advisory, or team leadership experience will be highly regarded.
What you’ll do:
- Schedule and coordinate daily workflow in a fast-moving workshop
- Order parts, manage stock, and liaise with suppliers
- Answer phones, greet customers, and deliver excellent service
- Mentor apprentices and support tradespeople on the floor
- Keep the team organised, efficient, and motivated
- Monday to Friday role
- No weekend work
- Negotiable hourly rate
