D’Arcy Weil is representing a major renewable energy investor and developer delivering a pipeline of utility-scale wind, solar and battery projects across Australia. With multiple projects now under construction, the business is focused on ensuring that delivery is safe, efficient, and strongly aligned with stakeholder expectations.
This role will join a national project delivery team and take a hands-on lead in managing landowner, council, community and contractor relationships during the construction phase of high-profile renewable projects.
The Role
You’ll be the key point of contact for local stakeholders during the construction phase of renewable energy projects—ensuring communication is clear, issues are addressed quickly, and the project maintains strong local relationships throughout its delivery.
This is a practical, fast-paced role that involves regular site visits, attending construction meetings, and proactively engaging with landowners, councils, and nearby communities to keep them informed, respond to concerns, and build long-term goodwill.
Key Responsibilities
- Act as the primary liaison for local stakeholders during project construction
- Coordinate responses to landholder questions, access issues, complaints or service disruptions
- Support construction teams in communicating road closures, transport schedules, and on-site activity
- Manage ongoing stakeholder meetings, newsletters, and community information updates
- Work closely with contractors, project managers and ESG teams to align messaging and response
- Maintain accurate records of engagement and report on stakeholder sentiment
- Assist in managing community benefit initiatives linked to the construction phase
- Identify emerging risks and collaborate with project teams to resolve them proactively
- 5+ years’ experience in stakeholder or community engagement within construction, infrastructure or renewables
- Direct experience working on active construction sites or site-based project delivery
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build trust quickly
- Comfortable engaging with regional stakeholders, landowners, local government and contractors
- Knowledge of regional planning, access and local council requirements
- High attention to detail and an ability to maintain engagement records under time pressure
- Willingness to travel regularly to project sites in regional VIC
