Job Design Engineer, Melbourne

ConsultANZ is seeking a Design Engineer to join a well-known ground engineering company in Melbourne. This role offers the opportunity to work on challenging piling, retaining wall, and ground improvement projects across civil infrastructure, alongside an experienced and supportive team.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement designs for foundation piles, retaining walls, and ground improvement systems.
• Utilise methodologies including CFA piling, bored piling, and cast shoring wall piles.
• Perform geotechnical analysis using Wallap, Piglet, and preferably Plaxis.
• Prepare technical reports, design documentation, and calculations to a high professional standard.
• Work closely with a multidisciplinary team, reporting directly to the Engineering Manager.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Civil or Geotechnical Engineering.
• Minimum 5 years’ experience in pile and retaining wall design.
• Proficient in Wallap and Piglet; Plaxis knowledge is an advantage.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Ability to contribute effectively within a collaborative team environment.

Benefits:

• $100k–$130k base salary + super, depending on experience.
