Position Overview
Due to ongoing growth in our client base across Melbourne, we are seeking 3-4 skilled and experienced Civil Design Engineers to join our growing firm but open to Senior Civil Design Engineers or Principals to join our Urban Civil Engineering team. In this role, you will support the design and documentation of land development projects, including roads, pavements, drainage, sewer, and water infrastructure. If you have a passion for civil design, a solid understanding of Australian Standards, and enjoy collaborating with a dynamic team, we'd love to hear from you.
How You Will Contribute
- Assist in the preparation of detailed civil designs for residential and industrial subdivisions, including roads, stormwater drainage, sewer, and water reticulation.
- Develop functional layouts, earthworks, and service designs using 12Dand AutoCAD under the guidance of senior engineers.
- Contribute to the preparation of engineering reports, specifications, and contract documentation for land development projects.
- Collaborate with drafters, engineers, and project managers to deliver high-quality outcomes on time and within budget.
- Participate and lead design reviews and adopt sustainable design practices where applicable.
- Provide technical guidance, coordinate with internal disciplines, and mentor junior engineers.
- Liaise with councils, statutory authorities, and clients to progress approvals and resolve design challenges.
- Ensure designs meet local authority requirements, engineering standards, and regulatory frameworks. Accreditation in Water Design MRWA
- Prepare and review technical reports, design calculations, specifications, and tender documentation.
We would love to hear from you if you have the following:
- Bachelor of Engineering (Civil) or equivalent
- Australian PR, Citizenship or valid Bridging Visa (essential).
- Exposure to land development projects, including residential subdivisions;
- Exposure to Stormwater and drainage projects, Roads and Pavements;
- Highly proficient in 12Dand/or AutoCAD
- Basic understanding of Victorian land development processes and standards;
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail;
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment;
- Part or Full completion of MRWA and eligibility complete it
- Professional Engineers Registration
- Chartered Engineer (CPEng)status or progress towards it (desirable).
- 12D Certified
