The Role
This Project Coordinator will work within the General and Acute Care Medicine (GACM) Flexible Approach to Training in Expanded Settings (FATES) project team.
The position will work within a project team that includes clinical (medical) leads and a project manager supported by and working alongside existing RACP governance and team structures.
FATES projects are funded by the Commonwealth government and the GACM FATES project has the following objectives to be delivered over two years
- Map and Describe the RACP GACM accredited training sites (and positions) throughout Australia
- Describe the medical workforce that fills the accredited GACM Advanced Physician Training (APT) roles throughout Australia
- Map and describe the specialist medical workforce delivering General Medicine clinical services throughout Australia.
- Lead the consultation and renewal of the GACM APT accreditation standards
- Collaborate with existing national and local projects to influence growth and improve end to end training in Regional Rural and Remote locations for specialist General Physicians
The purpose of the role is to provide operational and administrative support to deliver the Gen Med FATES project across all the objectives described above.
Desired Skills and ExperienceThe Successful Candidate
To be successful in the role you will have prior project coordination experience with strong organisational and multitasking skills. You will also possess:
- Demonstrated attention to detail and ability to achieve work objectives in a timely manner
- Demonstrated experience in delivering professional client and secretariat services, including high level written and verbal communication skills
- Excellent interpersonal skills with demonstrated ability to build effective working relationships with a range of external and internal stakeholders
- Experience improving and monitoring administrative processes
- Ability to negotiate and influence
- Ability to be flexible and adapt to changing priorities
- Ability to work independently and collaborate within a professional team
- Proven experience in problem solving and analytical skills
- IT Capabilities: Microsoft Office Suite, SharePoint and video/teleconferencing platforms
