Description
Join our Downer Professional Services team and play a key role in delivering complex defence and national security projects that safeguard Australia’s future.
Downer Professional Services is comprised of two business units, our Technical, Advisory, and Capability consulting practice and Team Downer, a major service partner to Defence. Together, we are a multi-disciplinary advisory and delivery partner of choice for our clients in Defence and National Security.
The IWP Delivery Manager supports the IWP Program Manager in delivering a Land Integrated Work Program contract based in Melbourne.
What You’ll Do
This role offers a broad scope, with key responsibilities including:
- Oversee the full lifecycle of IWP contracts, ensuring deliverables, schedules, and compliance are met.
- Develop and implement strategic delivery plans aligned with client goals and resource capabilities.
- Act as a backup to the IWP Program Manager during absences or competing priorities.
- Manage client requests, resource assignments, and supplier engagement, including SMEs and member companies.
- Coordinate onboarding/offboarding, travel approvals, time sheeting, and Commonwealth compliance processes.
What You’ll Bring
- 3+ years of experience in client-facing roles focused on contract delivery and operational execution.
- Strong program management skills with the ability to plan strategically and manage performance.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with a track record of building positive relationships.
- Proficiency in resource planning, budgeting, and performance monitoring across diverse teams.
- Familiarity with Defence systems including Office365, DPN, and PMO365.
- Currently hold and maintain a minimum Negative Vetting 1 or higher Security clearance as required by the Commonwealth.
- In some instances, compliance with International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) requirements may be an inherent requirement.
